Dividend dollars are calculated as follows: on the first $1,500 in net annual card purchases, your Dividend Card account your rebate is .25%; on your next $1,500 in net annual purchases your rebate is .5%; on the remainder of net annual purchases your rebate would be 1%. See program terms for details. Rebate is earned on card purchases less returns, and not on cash advances, regular Convenience Cheques, Balance Transfers, fees, interest or payments. Rebates are credited to the card account when the December account statement is issued, if the card account is then in good standing (otherwise, the rebate is cancelled).

All insurance is subject to limitations and exclusions outlined in the insurance certificates distributed with the Card Package. Common carrier fares or merchandise must be charged to the card to activate coverage. $100,000 Common Carrier Accident Insurance is available only to the primary cardholder and his/her spouse and dependent children; coverage is up to $100,000 Canadian and is underwritten by AIG Commercial Insurance Company of Canada. The Purchase Security feature helps protect most new items of personnel property when the purchase price is charged to your card by insuring the item for 90 days from purchase in the event of loss, theft or damage. This is excess insurance (it covers you only to the extent your claims exceeds the coverage under other insurance you may have). The Extended Protection feature doubles the term of your original Canadian or U.S manufacturer's warranty up to one year on most new items of personal property when the purchase price is charged to your card. Purchase Security and Extended Protection Insurance is underwritten and administered by Elite Insurance Company.

Avis discounts are available at participating Avis locations and are applied automatically when you use the Card to pay for the rental (Quebec residents may obtain the discount without using their Card, provided they show the Card when paying by an alternative payment option acceptable to Avis).

Personalized CIBC Convenience Cheques can be ordered by calling a CIBC Card Services Representative. Convenience Cheques are treated as cash advances. Convenience Cheques bear interest from the date they are posted to your credit card account. Cheques cannot be used for payments on or balance transfers from other CIBC credit cards, Personal Lines of Credit , Loans and Mortgages. Convenience Cheques cannot be certified. Cheques do not earn Dividend Dollars.

The current annual interest rate is 19.50% and will change to 19.99% for purchases and 21.50% for Cash Advances, Balance Transfers and Convenience Cheques effective for and from the period covered by the February 2011 statement. (The February 2011 statement covers the period that ends in that month.)
